Finding the arrival of a little one harder than you expected, or grieving a loss? Frome Birth Talk offers free counselling and drop-in groups for pregnant people, new parents and those who have experienced baby loss, right here in Frome.
For advice on anything affecting your mental health - anxiety, low mood, money worries, work stress - Mind can help you make sense of what you’re going through and point you to the right support. Closer to home, Mind in Somerset runs support groups, courses and a 24/7 Mindline across the county - we’ve fundraised for them and they help people right here.
Hitting crisis point, or worried about someone who is? CALM, the Campaign Against Living Miserably, runs a free, confidential and anonymous helpline and webchat, open 5pm to midnight every day.
Raising a relative’s or friend’s child? Kinship offers free advice, information and peer support for grandparents, siblings, family and friends who’ve stepped up to care for a child.
When you just need someone to listen, day or night, Samaritans are free to call, completely confidential and there 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You don’t have to be suicidal to reach out.
Fair Frome is a local charity tackling poverty and hardship in and around Frome. Based at the Town Hall, they run the Frome Food Bank and a furniture bank, and can offer practical help and a friendly ear if you’re struggling to make ends meet.
